replace
$(call cmd,modules_install,$(MODLIB)/$(modinst_dir)) with $(call cmd,modules_install,$(/lib/modules/2.6.12-1-686)/$(modinst_dir)) in the file /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.12-1-686/scripts/Makefile.modinst.
